Support Group for Transgendered People
Do you live in a gender different from the one you were raised in? Do you feel that neither “male” nor “female,” “man” nor “woman” adequately describes who you are? As part of its commitment to affirm the inherent worth and dignity of every person, members of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Saratoga Springs are forming a support and social group for transgendered and transsexual people in the greater Saratoga area.
This is not a therapeutic group but rather a chance for people whose experience of gender is different from most people’s to come together for fellowship and support. The facilitator is a transperson with experience coordinating an LGBT social group. The new group will meet once at month at the church, 624 N. Broadway in Saratoga Springs. The time and date of the first meeting will be chosen by those interested, most likely a weeknight or sometime Saturday. There is no charge. For more information, please contact the church office at 584-1555 or administrator@saratoga-uu.org.
